European Congress of Radiology (ECR), 2025, Vienna: the global forum for innovation in radiology
Between February 26 – March 2, 2025, Dr. Anatolie Cazacu, radiologist at the German Diagnostic Center (CDG), participated in one of the most important international events dedicated to modern medical imaging – the European Congress of Radiology (ECR), held in Vienna.
ECR is the second-largest radiology congress in the world, bringing together thousands of healthcare professionals every year: radiologists, technicians, medical physicists, researchers, and industry leaders. The topics covered include the latest technologies, digital solutions, and advanced diagnostic methods, with a growing emphasis on artificial intelligence applied in imaging.
“I attended ECR 2025 and what an incredible journey it was!
This year’s conference was a deep immersion into the transformative power of innovation and artificial intelligence in radiology, and the future of medical imaging is already here.I was truly inspired by the technical sessions that showcased advanced machine learning algorithms and deep learning models—tools that are already improving diagnostic accuracy and optimizing workflows in imaging.
One of the highlights was learning how convolutional neural networks are being integrated to optimize image interpretation, potentially reducing errors and accelerating patient diagnosis.
The practical demonstrations of AI-based diagnostics excited me and showed me how efficiently these innovations can be applied in daily clinical practice.
On a personal level, interacting with experts and professional colleagues at ECR 2025 reignited my passion for radiology.
It was amazing to see how technology not only improves our understanding of complex imaging data, but also opens new pathways for diagnosis.
I left the conference energized and equipped with knowledge I’m eager to integrate into my work, aiming for a future in which technology and human expertise blend seamlessly for superior patient diagnostics.”
ECR 2025 once again highlighted that the future of advanced medical diagnosis is closely tied to technology, but the human factor – the experience and intuition of the doctor – remains essential. At CDG, this combination is already a reality.
At the German Diagnostic Center, we are committed to staying connected to global progress in radiology. We constantly invest in top-tier equipment and continuous professional development for our medical team, to provide our patients with the accuracy of European-level diagnostics.
