A complete biochemical profile is a set of blood tests that assess the functions of internal organs, measure electrolytes in the body and reveal the value of circulating enzymes. Therefore, biochemical tests are a very effective way to determine a diagnosis and obtain concrete information about one’s current state of health.
The blood biochemistry profile comprises several specific tests, such as:
-Uric acid in serum
-(ALT) Serum alanine aminotransferase
-(AST) Serum aspartate aminotransferase
-Pancreatic amylase in serum
-Total bilirubin
-Direct bilirubin
-Indirect bilirubin
-Serum creatinine
-(LDH) Lactate dehydrogenase in serum
-Total protein in serum
-Urea in serum
-(HDL-cholesterol) High-density lipoproteins in serum
-(LDL-cholesterol) Low-density lipoproteins in serum
-Apolipoprotein A in serum
-Apolipoprotein B in serum
-Albumin in serum
