Soft tissue ultrasound is a non-invasive, radiation-free imaging method used to assess superficial lymph nodes (submandibular, axillary, inguinal, etc.) and subcutaneous formations such as cysts, lipomas, or abscesses.

Deep muscle structures cannot be visualized with this method.

No special preparation is required. The investigation is quick, with real-time interpretation by the radiologist.
