Ultrasound through fontanel

is a method for investigating the brain of a newborn or infant, and the approach is through the anterior or upper fontanel, the one in the crown of the head. The fontanel becomes an ultrasound window for this type of examination, aimed exclusively at a newborn or infant. Neurosonography trough fontanel shows the anatomy of the brain, its development and, if applicable, an existing pathology. Neurosonography through fontanel does not require special preparation. During the investigation, the child can be lying on the investigation couch or held in the arms by a parent.
