The comprehensive ultrasound examination is a non-invasive and painless imaging investigation recommended on a yearly basis, either in combination with a specialist consultation or as part of a preventive health check-up. It can be performed upon the recommendation of a physician or by personal choice, as a proactive step in maintaining health.

This type of ultrasound provides accurate and detailed results, without interfering with daily routine.

Preparation for the examination:

One hour before the scan:

Drink 500 ml of still water to ensure a full bladder for better visualization.

On the day of the examination:

The procedure must be performed on an empty stomach

Avoid smoking, chewing gum, drinking juices, tea, coffee, or lemon water in the morning before the scan

Prescribed medications may be taken with small sips of still water only

Avoid the following foods one day before the exam (to reduce gas and bloating): Milk and dairy products, Cabbage, Legumes (beans, lentils, peas), Fruits (apples, bananas, grapes), Fruit juices, Pasta, Carbonated drinks, Compotes, jams, Fatty, fried, or spicy foods

Recommended medication before the exam:

1. Digestive enzymes

(Creon 10,000, Panzinorm 10,000, Triferment Forte 10,000, Mezim Forte 10,000)
→ Take 1 capsule during meals, 1–2 times per day

2. Simethicone-based products

(Espumisan 40 mg, Balonix Med 80 mg, Flaton 50 mg, Flatulence 80 mg)
→ Take 1 capsule, 3 times per day after meals
→ In case of excessive bloating, take 2 capsules
