General Ultrasound Examination is a comprehensive investigation recommended to be performed annually along with a specialist consultation or as a preventive check-up. It can be done upon the doctor’s recommendation or for the personal safety of individuals who monitor their health. The examination provides accurate and extensive results, does not interfere with the daily routine, and is painless and non-invasive.
Organs examined:
Thyroid gland, liver, spleen, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, urinary bladder, prostate.
Preparation for the examination:
Drink 500 ml of water one hour before the procedure to ensure a full bladder.
The examination is performed on an empty stomach.
Avoid smoking or chewing gum in the morning before the test.
Medication intake:
Prescribed medications should be taken with small sips of still water.
Exclude: juices, tea, coffee, and lemon-infused water.
Foods to avoid the day before the examination (to prevent bloating):
❌ Milk, cabbage, legumes, fruits (apples, bananas, grapes), fruit juices, pasta, carbonated water, compotes, jams, fatty, fried, and spicy foods.
Recommended intake:
- Enzymes (“Creon 10,000”, “Panzinorm 10,000”, “Triferment Forte 10,000”, “Mezim Forte 10,000”):
- 1 capsule during meals 1-2 times a day.
- Simethicone 40 mg (“Espumisan 40 mg”, “Balonix Med 80 mg”, “Flaton 50 mg”, “Flatulence 80 mg”):
- 1 capsule 3 times a day after meals or 2 capsules in case of excessive bloating.
