Renovesicoprostatic Ultrasound Examination (kidneys, urinary bladder, prostate)
Price: 500 MDL
The renovesicoprostatic ultrasound is a safe, painless, and non-invasive imaging test used to evaluate the condition of the kidneys, urinary bladder, and prostate gland. It is recommended both for routine preventive check-ups and for investigating urinary symptoms or known conditions.
What does it examine and why?
Kidneys – to detect stones, cysts, infections, or structural abnormalities
Bladder – to assess residual urine, wall changes, or inflammation
Prostate – to measure size, detect prostatitis or signs of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
When is the test indicated?
Weak or interrupted urine stream
Frequent urination, especially at night
Pain or discomfort while urinating
Recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs)
Lower back or pelvic pain
Monitoring prostate health in men over 50
Post-treatment or post-surgical follow-up
It is recommended that the urinary bladder is moderately full – drink 500 ml of still water approximately one hour before the procedure and avoid urinating until after the ultrasound examination.
This ultrasound offers accurate and real-time insights into the male urinary system, essential for both diagnosis and prevention.
