Reproductive hormones (118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 127, 230)

Hormones are messengers that control and coordinate processes throughout the body. Of the many hormones present in the body, some are responsible for reproduction and fertility. People who are experiencing some problems with conception need to have a set of tests to check the level of these types of hormones.

The reproductive hormones profile includes:

-Estradiol

-(FSH) Follicle-stimulating hormone

-(LH) Luteinizing hormone

-Prolactin

-Total testosterone

-(DHEA) Dehydroepiandrosterone

Preparation for the investigation: 

Blood sample collection can be done between 8:00 AM and 11:00 PM, after a 12-hour fasting period.

1. The day before the investigation, exclude: fatty and fried food, alcohol, smoking, and stress.
2. Inform the doctor about any medications being taken.
3. Performing blood tests on the same day after an X-ray or physiotherapy procedures is not recommended.
