Liver profile (11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 27, 29, 37, 40, 47, 500, 502)

The liver profile comprises 13 types of tests that give the doctor extensive information and the possibility to establish an exact diagnosis, when a liver pathology is suspected.

The profile includes:

-Serum albumin

-(ALT) Serum alanine aminotransferase

-(AST) Serum aspartate aminotransferase

-Total bilirubin

-Direct bilirubin

-Indirect bilirubin

-Alkaline phosphatase in serum

-(GGT) G-glutamyl transpeptidase in serum

-(LDH) Lactate dehydrogenase in serum

-Total protein in serum

-Alpha 1 antitrypsin

-Fibrinogen

-(INR) Prothrombin time, international normalized ration

Preparation for the investigation: 

Blood sample collection can be done between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, after a 12-hour fasting period.

1. The day before the investigation, exclude: fatty and fried food, alcohol, smoking, and stress.
2. Inform the doctor about any medications being taken.
3. Performing blood tests on the same day after an X-ray or physiotherapy procedures is not recommended.

*In case of emergency, tests can be collected at any time of the day until 3:00 PM.
 The result is issued on the same day.
