Price: 4200 MDL
About the investigation
MRI of orbits with contrast is a non-invasive and non-radiating method used to assess and differentiate pathological lesions in the eye region.
Scope of investigation
The structure of the orbit, the course of the optic nerve, the presence or absence of pathological lesions in the region of the orbit and the eyeball.
Preparation for investigation
MRI of orbits with contrast does not require special prior preparation or a rehabilitation period after the procedure, so you can continue your normal daily activities. However, it is recommended not to eat or drink about 2-3 hours before the investigation. Women are recommended to remove make-up before the investigation, because some cosmetics contain various metal powders that can interfere with the image. Before the investigation, the nurse will ask you to remove all metal objects (glasses, watch, magnetic cards, jewelry, etc.), because they can be quickly attracted by the magnetic field. Be sure to tell your doctor if you have any kind of metal implant (cardiac stent, pacemaker, IUD), because it may not work properly after MRI and may pose threat to your life. It is useful to bring any medical documents in case of diagnosed diseases.
