Contrast cerebral MRI-3T - standard protocol

is a method of choice in the assessment of brain structures, which allows assessing and monitoring a wide range of neurological pathologies or organic changes in the brain. The accuracy of the images displayed by the SIEMENS MAGNETOM SKYRA 3T device allows finding and diagnosing a large number of other pathologies of the central nervous system.

Scope of investigation

Brain tissues, blood vessels, cerebrospinal fluid, orbital structures, inner and middle ear, nasopharyngeal portion, cranial bones. The administration of a contrast substance during MRI examination allows for a more detailed analysis of tissues, differentiation of detected pathological lesions.

Preparation for investigation

Brain MRI 3T with contrast standard protocol does not require special prior preparation or a rehabilitation period after the procedure, so you can continue your normal daily activities. However, it is recommended not to eat or drink about 2-3 hours before the investigation. Women are recommended to remove make-up before the investigation, because some cosmetics contain various metal powders that can interfere with the image. Before the investigation, the nurse will ask you to remove all metal objects (glasses, watch, magnetic cards, jewelry, etc.), because they can be quickly attracted by the magnetic field. Be sure to tell your doctor if you have any kind of metal implant (cardiac stent, pacemaker, IUD), because it may not work properly after MRI and may pose threat to your life.

It is useful to bring any medical documents in case of previously diagnosed diseases.
