Nechiporenko urine test (leukocytes, erythrocytes)

The Nechiporenko test

is a urine test that allows a more accurate determination of the quantitative content of erythrocytes, leukocytes and cylinders than a general urinalysis.

Preparation for the investigation 

Urine samples should be brought to the laboratory within one hour after collection. Before collecting, wash hands and genitals with soap and water, avoiding disinfectants. Samples shall be collected in special disposable containers provided to the patient by the laboratory. The middle portion of the urine is collected.  

The result is issued on the same day.
