384-slice CT of abdomen with contrast + urographic phase
Price: 3380 MDL
384-slice CT of the abdomen with contrast and urographic phase is a radiological method used to examine the position, shape, size, and function of the kidneys, as well as to diagnose urinary tract conditions, tumors, inflammations, and other kidney pathologies.
It is performed in case of abdominal (belly) and back pain, digestive and bowel disorders, stone formation(gallbladder and kidney stones), blood in urine or stool, abdominal trauma (injury to parenchymal organs with internal bleeding), and presence of mass formations (tumors, intra-abdominal abscesses, etc.).
Examined structures: 384-slice CT of the abdomen with contrast + urographic phase allows visualization of hollow organs (stomach, small and large intestines, gallbladder) and parenchymal organs (liver, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, etc.). It highlights the anatomical relationship of abdominal organs and certain pathological changes.
The administration of contrast material allows assessment of the vascularization of a tumor mass, differentiation between a tumor and a vascular malformation. The investigation is performed with contrast substance and enables visualization of the excretory pathways, renal arterial or venous circulation, and evaluation of renal excretory function.
Preparation for the investigation:
384-slice CT of the abdomen with contrast + urographic phase requires special preparation.
1–2 days before the investigation:
– Diet: hard fibers must be excluded from the diet (cabbage, fresh vegetables and fruits, legumes), carbonated drinks, black bread, dairy products, etc.
On the day of the examination:
– The investigation is performed on an empty stomach – the last meal must be taken no later than 3–4 hours before the start of the scan.
Scheduled patients may resume their daily activities without special restrictions immediately after the investigation.
