384-Slice CT Scan of a Limb Region (Femur, Lower Leg, Upper Arm, or Forearm) is an advanced imaging examination used to assess the bones of the upper and lower limbs. It is recommended in cases of trauma, pain, deformities, and other conditions affecting the limb. The examination can detect bone fractures, malunited fractures with limb misalignment, bone infections, tumors, congenital abnormalities, and other skeletal disorders.

What is examined?

The scan evaluates the bone structure, including fractures, deformities, bone lesions or masses, congenital abnormalities, and the healing process of fractures by assessing bone callus formation.

Preparation for the examination

A 384-Slice CT scan of a limb region (femur, lower leg, upper arm, or forearm) does not require any special preparation. After the examination, patients can immediately resume their normal daily activities without any restrictions.

Computed Tomography (CT) uses X-rays. Therefore, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, this examination can only be performed with a written medical referral.

If you do not have a referral, you can schedule a consultation at the German Diagnostic Center.

The physician will assess whether the examination is medically indicated and, if appropriate, will issue the referral required for your CT scan.
