The urine analysis with antibiotic susceptibility test is a laboratory test used to detect the presence of urinary tract infections and to determine the sensitivity of bacteria to different antibiotics. This analysis helps doctors choose the most effective antibiotic treatment to combat the infection.

Preparation:

  1. Collect the urine in a sterile container obtained from the pharmacy or provided by the urine examination office within the CDG premises.
  2. Before collection, intimate hygiene with running water is recommended to prevent contamination of the sample.
  3. Collect the middle portion of the first morning urine (approximately 50-100 ml).
  4. The sample should be brought to the laboratory within a maximum of 2 hours from the time of collection.

Results are released within 5 working days.
