Mammography is one of the most important radiological screening methods used to detect breast gland pathologies. Currently, it is the most accessible and effective method for early detection of breast cancer in its initial stages, as well as for monitoring the progression of advanced forms of the disease.

At the German Diagnostic Center, mammograms are performed using the new Mammomat B. Brilliant mammography machine, unique in Moldova and produced by Siemens Healthineers. This state-of-the-art equipment provides numerous benefits for our patients:

  • 30% Radiation Reduction: Mammomat B. Brilliant significantly reduces radiation exposure, making the examination safer, especially for patients requiring regular screenings.
  • Comfortable, Pain-Free Compression: The machine automatically adjusts the compression level to provide optimal pressure, eliminating discomfort and pain, ensuring a pleasant and stress-free experience.
  • High-Resolution Images: The mammography unit delivers exceptionally clear images, facilitating the precise detection of even the smallest changes, which is crucial for early diagnosis and careful monitoring of breast conditions.

Breast screening through mammography is recommended for all women starting at age 40, and in some cases, even earlier if advised by a physician. Between the ages of 40 and 49, the World Health Organization recommends a mammogram every two years. After age 50, it is advised to have an annual mammogram to increase the chances of early detection of potential conditions.

A mammogram is quick, easy, and minimally painful, yet has an extremely valuable impact on a woman’s health. At the German Diagnostic Center, mammograms are conducted by professional doctors using state-of-the-art equipment to produce high-quality images that provide critical information for the mammologist.
