Fibroscan

FibroScan is the equipment created specifically for finding out the degree of damage to the liver tissue, in case of chronic liver pathology (cirrhosis of the liver, chronic viral hepatitis (hepatitis B, C, D)). FibroScan examination is non-invasive, painless and has no side effects, as it is based on ultrasound.
In Moldova, the German Diagnostic Center is the first medical institution to implement this type of test, using equipment manufactured by Echosens, which is the world leader in this field.
FibroScan can successfully replace the puncture of the liver – invasive procedure that involves medical risks and is less informative.
Since the result of the investigation is immediately available, doctors can accurately determine the degree of liver fibrosis, and depending on these results, they can prescribe correct treatment.
