Gastroduodenoscopy (upper endoscopy) can be abbreviated as gastroscopy and represents a medical procedure through which the doctor can carefully and precisely examine the surface of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum.

It examines:

The esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. Additionally, through endoscopy, infection with Helicobacter pylori can be diagnosed.

Preparation for the investigation:

One day before the investigation – the last meal at 5:30 - 6:00 PM

On the day of the examination:

Do not eat or drink anything, not even a chewing gum. Do not smoke!
