Cytology, microbiology
Cytological tests are indicated for the detailed study of cells. A cytological examination is a screening test that aims to analyze and identify different cell morphology aspects, such as cell chromatin structure, changes in cytoplasm homogeneity, appearance of various cell compounds, etc., which may occur in inflammatory or neoplastic pathological processes. A cytological examination can be used as a diagnostic test (if an inflammatory or neoplastic pathological process is suspected) or as a screening test (for the early identification of lesions or changes that precede diseases, in people with an increased risk of development of certain pathologies).
Microbiological tests are performed to highlight a number of microbes that can cause acute and chronic infections.
The importance of microbiological and cytological tests is to help establish an asymptomatic diagnosis and pathologies at cell level.
