Ultrasonography (ultrasound) is one of the most widely used diagnostic methods, easy to perform, painless and harmless. General ultrasound is used to examine the thyroid, abdominal organs, pelvic organs, breast in women, the urogenital system.
The doctor may recommend an ultrasound when the patient experiences acute or chronic abdominal pain, in case of abdominal trauma, with possible internal bleeding.
